Philippine cuisine is considered to be one of the oldest "fusion" cuisines in the world. It's a medley of different influences: Spanish, Chinese, Anglo-Saxon... plus ingredients specific to the country, such aspurple yam, calamansi and sugar cane vinegar. Living proof of the archipelago's cultural richness.

It's also a cuisine full of diversity: there must be as many islands (over 7,640!) as there are recipes for the same dish! Like adobo, the restaurant's signature dish.

[kou-ma-ine ka na]

It's an expression used in many Filipino homes, which translates as "Have you eaten yet?" - Walk into a Filipino home at any time of day and you'll be greeted by this expression, which is our way of saying hello. And it's also our way of showing thatwe care about you!

Among Filipinos, cooking usually brings the family together. This is what happened between Jessica, of Filipino origin, and Aurélie.

BOBI was founded at the end of 2019 by these two long-time friends, where one discovered in the other a culture that was totally unknown to her.

They wanted to share the same experience of home-cooked Filipino food (with recipes inspired by Jessica's family from the family), by creating a place where everyone could gather around a generous cuisine that is still little known to the French. That's why most dishes are served à la carte, because in the Philippines, sharing a variety of dishes is customary. But BOBI is also a short menu that changes according to the season, using fresh local and Philippine produce!

They also wanted to honor the " carinderia " (bouis-bouis), the little stalls found all over the archipelago that serve homemade, popular cuisine on a daily basis. Hence the name "BOBI", short for "boui-boui".

But more than just a kitchen, they wanted to build a warm, accessible place that would make you feel at home.
